FAQs
Do students need previous dance experience to join?
Not at all. Many families share that their children started at Legs as complete beginners and thrived. Whether it’s your child’s first class or they’ve been dancing for years, our teachers create a welcoming, supportive environment for every level.
What age groups do you teach?
We welcome dancers as young as 2 years old in our Ready Set Dance preschool program, right through to advanced teens preparing for professional pathways. Some families have been with us for over a decade, growing with the studio year after year.
Can parents be involved?
Absolutely. While classes are designed to help children build independence, parents are very much part of the Legs community. From parent groups and watching weeks to concerts and end-of-year events, families often say Legs feels like their “second home”.
Do students get performance opportunities?
Yes! Our dancers participate in mid-year concerts, end-of-year productions, and in some cases, elite performance programs. Many families highlight the joy and confidence their children gain from performing on stage and being part of our award-winning shows.
What makes your teachers different?
Parents consistently praise the faculty for their passion, patience, and encouragement. Teachers are described as role models who instil not just strong technique, but values like kindness, resilience, and teamwork.
Can dancing at Legs lead to professional opportunities?
Yes. While many students dance for fun and fitness, others pursue professional pathways. Legs graduates have been accepted into elite schools across Australia, thanks to the strong technical training and support they received here
