Eisteddfod and Performance Program (Troupes)
Troupes is for students who want to participate more regularly in performances and are serious about their craft. “Legs” offers a fantastic program that caters for students who wish to enter the entertainment industry or simply want to be the best at their game. Students must take classical ballet classes in addition to their regular dance classes. They will spend many hours at the studio. The decision to join Troupes is a family one because it involves whole families traveling away together.
The “Legs Dance Troupe” participates in different eisteddfods in NSW and the ACT and competes at the Gold Coast every two years. They have also performed or competed in Disneyland, USA, Las Vegas, China and Kuala Lumpur.
Students in the Troupe Program learn teamwork, performance technique, strength and flexibility training and dance technique. Students also take singing lessons and do regular workshops with visiting choreographers from Australia and USA.
An approximate diary of events is provided at the beginning of each year and parents and students are kept informed about rehearsals, performances, workshops etc. “Legs” has a buddy system for new students and parents so you will be looked after by an experienced Troupe family.
